FAQ
Frequently asked questions about p.ready_Market
1. Why do we need this at all?
What does “go-to-market” mean, and why does it concern us?
Go-to-market, or GTM for short, describes your route to market: who you sell to, why you in particular are the better choice, what words you use to say so, and which channels you use to reach your buyers. Every company has a route to market; most have just never written it down. Then everyone in sales describes the difference a little differently, and in the end procurement is left with price as the only clear figure.
We’ve been selling well for years. Why now?
The need usually arises at a specific point: a lost deal despite better performance, a succession or acquisition after which the brand image drifts apart, or a campaign that fails to deliver despite a change of agency. In all three cases, the root cause lies in the positioning. If you have it in writing and backed by evidence, you can hand it over to new colleagues and use it consistently in sales.
How is p.ready_Market different from a brand consultancy?
A brand consultancy delivers substance, but it takes several weeks and usually costs four to five figures. The platform reads public signals from your market, such as buyer voices, competitor messaging, job openings and the web, and turns them into finished results at fixed prices. Olaf Kopmann, Ramtin Ramin and Jörg Ganal put their names behind the quality. With the larger bundles, one of the three reviews the results with you.
Can’t we just do this with ChatGPT?
ChatGPT writes text variants quickly. A position takes more: real buyer voices from your market, evidence for every statement, and the translation of technical features into business value. That’s exactly what the platform delivers, and every core statement comes with its source and reasoning, so you can agree or push back with your own data.
Who is p.ready_Market for?
For owner-led mid-market companies, typically with 51 to 200 employees, for example in industrial manufacturing, mechanical engineering, technical B2B, food and consumer goods. Within the company, it is used mainly by the CEO and the head of marketing or communications. You choose the target market for each module: Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Europe or worldwide.
What exactly do we have in hand at the end?
Finished statements, cards and plans you can work with right away: your position in a competitive comparison, persona cards of your ideal customers, buying triggers, a channel map, a Messaging Playbook with wording you can adopt and, if you want, an action plan for your visibility in AI answers.
2. Using the platform
How do we get started?
The easiest way is with one of the two free checks. The Brand Check rates your website across five dimensions and shows you the three toughest counter-questions. The AI Visibility Check tests whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI mention you when buyers ask about your category. Both results are ready within a few minutes and include a recommendation for which module closes your biggest gap.
Do we need to sign up for the check?
You don’t need to sign up for the initial assessment; it appears directly on the page. If you want the full report, you enter your email address. We send you a sign-in link that opens your Cockpit and creates your profile, and the full report is waiting for you there.
Do we need a password?
You never need a password. Every time you sign in, the platform sends a new link to your email address; one click opens your Cockpit.
What is the Cockpit?
Your workspace on the platform. All results are kept in one place, you can see which modules have already run, and you’re shown which step makes sense next.
In what order should we book the modules?
That depends on your open question. After a lost deal, the Positioning Analysis and the Market & Competitor Analysis help. If the inquiries you get don’t fit you, the Ideal Customer Analysis helps. The modules build on each other, and each result becomes more precise because it builds on the previous one. That’s why we only offer the Messaging Playbook once the Positioning Analysis and the Brand Profile are available for your brand.
What information does the platform need from us?
Your website is enough to start. The platform reads your home page, services and About page and shows you what it has understood. You correct anything that’s off and add what isn’t publicly stated anywhere, for example your most important competitors or a market you want to enter.
The platform has asked us a follow-up question. What should we do?
Some modules need a piece of information that can’t be reliably derived from public sources. In that case, the platform asks you and continues with verified information. Answer the question in the Cockpit, and the module continues with your answer.
How long does a module take?
The free checks deliver within a few minutes. The paid modules take between 20 and 30 minutes for the Brand Profile and up to two and a half hours for the AI Visibility Audit, which queries five AI answer engines with many buying questions. A module runs in the background on our servers, so you can close the Cockpit in the meantime. As soon as the result is ready, you’ll get an email from noreply@p-ready.com.
What if a result doesn’t convince us?
Every core statement names its source and reasoning. If you see it differently, send us your evidence within 30 days of delivery, and the module runs again once, free of charge, with your information. If the data on a point is thin, the result says so openly.
Can we manage several brands in one account?
Yes. In your profile you can create several brands, such as an umbrella brand and a product brand, and book separate modules for each brand. Results are kept separate per brand, and the platform builds each module on the results of that specific brand.
Can several people from our team use the Cockpit?
An account belongs to one person and is tied to their email address. In most companies, one person is responsible for the route to market, and that’s what the Cockpit is designed for. You share results with your team by downloading the reports and passing them on.
What does ongoing monitoring give us?
A route to market changes constantly: competitors change their promises, buying triggers shift. Positioning Monitoring and Ideal Customer Monitoring show you every month what has moved, each signal with its origin. Both start with the corresponding analysis or a bundle, which include the first months. AI Visibility Monitoring compares quarterly against the measurement from the audit.
3. Prices and bundles
How much does p.ready_Market cost?
Both checks are free. Individual modules cost between €490 and €990, bundles between €2,690 and €3,690, ongoing monitoring €99 per month or €99 per quarter for AI visibility, and the Positioning Analysis and the Ideal Customer Analysis each include two months of the corresponding monitoring. All prices are fixed in advance; there are no day rates. p.ready_Market is aimed at businesses, so all prices are stated net, plus statutory VAT.
Is a bundle worth it?
As soon as you have more than one open question, usually yes. Compared with booking individually, you save €808 with Complete Go-to-Market and €329 with Brand Bundle, in each case including the three months of monitoring included in the bundle at no extra charge.
What happens after the included monitoring months?
The included months end on their own: after two months for the Positioning Analysis and the Ideal Customer Analysis, and after three in the bundles. No costs arise unless you take action. You’ll get an email reminder in good time before the end. If you want to continue, you add a payment method, and monitoring continues without interruption at the regular price.
How do we cancel monitoring?
At any time, effective at the end of the current billing period, i.e. at the end of the month for the monthly monitoring and at the end of the quarter for AI Visibility Monitoring. You cancel with one click in your customer area, and reports continue until the end of the period. We don’t refund partial periods pro rata.
Is funding available?
For companies based in Germany: for the Complete Go-to-Market bundle, we check with you before you commission it whether public consulting funding might apply. The application must be submitted before the start, so we talk about it early. Olaf Kopmann is listed as a consultant with BAFA, the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control.
4. Payment and invoices
How do we pay?
Payment runs via Stripe, one of the major payment service providers in Europe. You enter your payment data directly with Stripe; it never reaches our servers. You can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club), Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, Link, SEPA Direct Debit or, from Austria, by eps transfer. All payment methods except eps are suitable for ongoing monitoring, because eps requires each payment to be confirmed individually.
What is “Link”?
Link is Stripe’s payment service. If you save your payment details there once, you pay next time with a confirmation code, including with other merchants. Using it is optional; you can simply leave the checkbox in the payment window unchecked.
Do we get an invoice?
After every payment, you automatically receive an invoice showing VAT by email. All invoices are also available for download in your customer area.
Our company is based in Austria or Switzerland. How does VAT work?
In both cases, we issue the invoice without German VAT, and you account for the tax yourself. Companies from the EU, including Austria, enter their VAT identification number when paying. Companies from Switzerland and Liechtenstein enter their MWST number and account for the tax as acquisition tax (Bezugsteuer) with the Swiss Federal Tax Administration. Stripe handles the calculation automatically at payment. From Switzerland, you pay by card, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay or Link.
We forgot to enter our VAT ID when paying.
For companies from Germany, the VAT ID makes no difference to the invoice; you deduct the VAT as input tax as usual. For companies outside Germany, the checkout asks for the number as a required field. If German VAT has nevertheless ended up on your invoice, email us at hello@p-ready.com within 30 days of the purchase with the invoice number and VAT ID. We cancel the invoice with a credit note, reissue it without VAT and refund the tax to your original means of payment.
The company address on the invoice is wrong.
Send us the correct address with the invoice number at hello@p-ready.com, and we’ll reissue a corrected invoice.
Our card was declined. What can we do?
Usually one of three causes applies: the bank requires an additional confirmation in its app that wasn’t completed, the card’s daily or online limit has been reached, or the company card is blocked for payments to new merchants. Confirm the payment in your banking app and try again. If that doesn’t help, quickly authorize it with your bank or use a different card. A decline costs you nothing; Stripe only charges once a payment succeeds.
The confirmation window (3-D Secure) doesn’t open.
Often a pop-up blocker or strict tracking protection in the browser blocks the bank’s confirmation window. Allow pop-ups for the site or briefly switch to a different browser. On corporate networks, the firewall may also block the bank’s page; in that case, trying over the mobile network helps.
The payment has gone through, but the module isn’t unlocked yet.
Activation usually follows within a few minutes of payment; with SEPA Direct Debit it happens as soon as the mandate is given, i.e. before the money is debited. Reload the Cockpit and check that you’re signed in with the same email address you paid with and that you’ve opened the right brand. If the module is still missing after that, email us at hello@p-ready.com with Stripe’s payment confirmation.
The amount appears twice on our account.
Often the second entry is a pending authorization by the bank from an aborted attempt, which disappears on its own after a few days. If it shows up as an actual charge, email us with both receipts. We’ll initiate the refund within two business days, and the money goes back to the same means of payment. For cards, according to Stripe it takes 5 to 10 business days, depending on the bank, for the credit to appear; for SEPA Direct Debit, up to 5 business days.
The charge for monitoring failed.
You’ll get an email with a link to update your payment details. Stripe automatically retries the charge, over two weeks for cards and up to twice within 30 days for SEPA Direct Debit. If it doesn’t succeed by then, monitoring is paused, and you can resume it in your customer area at any time.
How do we change our stored payment method?
In your customer area, which you can reach from the Cockpit. There you can change your payment method, download invoices and cancel monitoring.
Can we cancel a booking or get a refund?
Yes, as long as you haven’t started the module yet. Within 14 days of the purchase, we refund the full amount; for bundles, this applies until the first module is started. Once started, the platform begins work immediately, so a refund is excluded from that point on. The Cockpit reminds you of this again before the start. Modules from a bundle that you haven’t started yet remain available to you for twelve months.
And what if a module doesn’t deliver a complete result?
Then it runs again free of charge. If the re-run doesn’t succeed within five business days either, we refund the price of that module in full; for bundles, the module’s share of the bundle price.
5. Data protection and security
Where is our data stored?
The database and servers are located in Germany: the database in Frankfurt am Main, the servers in German data centers. The AI-assisted analysis and the web search in the modules run with providers that process data in the USA, safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We have concluded data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with all service providers that process data on our behalf. You’ll find the types of service providers in our privacy policy.
What data does the platform process?
Mainly public information: your website, your competitors' websites, public buyer voices, job advertisements and search results. About you, we store your email address, your inputs in the Cockpit and the results of your modules. Your payment data is held exclusively by Stripe.
Is our information used to train AI models?
No. Our AI provider does not use your inputs and results to train its models.
Who sees our results?
Your results are assigned to your account and locked for other users of the platform. The database separates accounts at row level. The three experts also have access if you’ve booked a bundle with a review session.
Which service providers do you work with?
With specialized providers for servers and database, email delivery, AI-assisted analysis, web search and the measurement of AI visibility, plus Stripe for payment and Cloudflare for protection against automated requests. A data processing agreement is in place with each of them. We’re happy to give you the individual names on request to hello@p-ready.com.
Will we get advertising if we do a check?
You only get a newsletter if you expressly consent. Consent is voluntary, independent of the check, and can be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link in every message or by email to hello@p-ready.com. You’ll receive the result email for your check in any case.
How long do you store our data?
Only for as long as we need it for you, with fixed periods:
- We delete an initial assessment for which you didn’t provide an email address after 30 days.
- We delete an account you used only for a free check 12 months after your last sign-in. 30 days beforehand, we ask you by email whether you want to keep it.
- An account with booked modules remains in place as long as you use it, because your results build on each other. If you haven’t signed in for 24 months, we delete it after prior notice.
- We retain invoices and payment records for eight years in line with statutory obligations, even if you’ve deleted your account. They are then blocked from any other use.
- Your consent to the newsletter remains valid until you withdraw it.
How can we have our data deleted?
Send us a short message at hello@p-ready.com, and we’ll delete your account. You also have the right at any time to access, rectification, restriction, data portability and objection under the GDPR. All your rights are listed in our privacy policy.
Why does the site ask whether we’re human?
Before the check, Cloudflare’s protection against automated requests runs. It keeps away bots that would otherwise call up the free checks in large numbers, and in most cases it doesn’t need a click from you.
6. Help and contact
The sign-in email isn’t arriving.
First check your spam folder and your mail server’s quarantine; with strict corporate filters, sign-in links often end up there. The link comes from noreply@p-ready.com, so it’s best to add this address to your safe senders list right away. If that doesn’t help, request a new link. A link is valid for one hour and works only once.
The sign-in link doesn’t work.
Open the link in the same browser in which you requested it, and always use the most recent one. Some corporate email systems automatically check links in advance and use them up in the process. In that case, request a new link and open it within one hour.
We can’t start the AI Visibility Check again for our domain.
The free check runs once per domain. For a deeper measurement across five AI answer engines with an action plan, there’s the AI Visibility Audit, and for ongoing re-measurement, AI Visibility Monitoring.
How can we reach you?
Email us at hello@p-ready.com. You’ll get a personal reply within 24 hours.
